Bring your timeline to life with images and photos

Timeline with images of from Woodland Park Zoo

Photos can be attached to individual events and can be used as a chart background. Bee Docs Timeline can import images through drag-and-drop, either through the built in photo browser or from any other application that supports drap-and-drop.

Event Images

One photo may be attached to each event. To attach a photo, simply drag a photo onto the event. The photo may be dragged from any source including Safari, Finder, and the build in photo browser. The image will be copied into your document and displayed as part of the associated event.

To adjust the display size of an image, select the event containing the image and use the Image Size slider in the Settings panel. You may adjust many images at once by selecting multiple events before making adjustments.

Event images are stored will all of the original detail preserved in order to allow future image scaling as well as high resolution printing and export. Note that dragging very large images onto your timeline will greatly increase the size of your timeline document. If you are concerned about the size of your files, resize your images prior to importing them using a tool such as iPhoto or Adobe Photoshop.

Chart Background Images

If your chart background is set to Image Fill or Tinted Image Fill you may select an image for display as the background to your timeline. Click the choose button to select an image. Experiment with the image fitting popup menu to fit the best fit for your particular timeline.

Photo Browser

Click the Photos toolbar item to display the build in photo browser. Albums of photos from iPhoto and Aperture (if they are installed) will be displayed. Drag photos from the photo browser onto your events to add them to your timeline.
